2026 Co-Op, Clinical Biomarkers, Oncology

The Role:

Moderna is seeking talented Co-op(s) to join the Clinical Assays, Supplies, and Logistics (CASL) group for the Spring semester. As a Co-op, you will interact closely with stakeholders such as biomarkers, clinical trial operations, digital, and cross functional teams. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high growth organization that is radically changing the biotech industry via cutting-edge mRNA science. The Co-op’s project aims to use state-of-art bioanalytical and biomarker technology and/or assay development to drive program decision and biomarker strategy optimization.

Our spring co-op program is from January-June, 2026. All applicants must be available for the entire duration of the program.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Work with Clinical Biomarker Lead, Biomarker Operations, Program Specialist, and team on a research project related to bioassay development and/or implementation in clinical trials.

• Help to implement solutions/systems to improve efficiency with internal and external processes and partnerships through interactions with vendors and contract research organizations.

• Present the research outcome at the end of the program to a diverse team.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Must be a student in a graduate program (Master’s or Ph.D.), or equivalent degree.

  • Relevant experience can substitute for advanced degree programs

  • Major must be in science field (Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, etc.) other related laboratory-based science.

  • Completed foundational biology courses such as cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or laboratory techniques in biology

• Project management experience preferred, but not required

• Good written and oral communication skills in English language.

• Candidates with prior experience in clinical setting, and/or laboratory bioassays (i.e. ELISA/MSD, qPCR, NGS, Flow Cytometry, IHC/IF, etc.) strongly encouraged to apply.
