About the role
<p><strong>Scurri </strong>optimises the ordering, shipping and delivery processes for a growing list of online retailers and distribution companies. We make it easier for well known brands to ship goods to their customers around the world.</p><p>An ever-growing demand for online shopping means that we have an exceptional opportunity for a Software Developer to join our expanding team and play a key role in propelling our further growth.</p><p>Our Developers work in squads according to lean, agile and continuous improvement practices in order to support the delivery of billions of Euros worth of transactions across Europe. As such, responsibilities include:</p><p><br/></p><ul> <li>Implementing integrations with a large number of third-party APIs</li> <li>Scaling our product to handle the volume from large retailers</li> <li>Maintaining our standards of High Availability</li> <li>Designing software that can be easily adapted and deployed.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>It is anticipated that applicants can demonstrate the following experience, skills and traits:</p><ul> <li>3+ years experience as a Developer</li> <li>Either existing strong Python skills/experience or an interest and drive to re-skill in Python [We've successfully managed developers along this path before]</li> <li>Good working knowledge of Git, AWS and a background of system design and architecture.</li> <li>Strong engineering principles</li> <li>Extensive experience with unit and acceptance testing tools/practices</li> <li>A strong belief in Lean and Agile development processes</li> <li>JavaScript and front-end technologies is a bonus</li> <li>Excellent communication skills - written and verbal</li> </ul><p><strong>AND</strong></p><ul> <li> <strong>The ability to work from our Wexford Town, Co Wexford head office 3 days per wee</strong>k.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>At Scurri we hire highly motivated and talented people.
