Global CVRM Early Asset/Business Development, Insights & Analytics Leader

About the role
<p><b>Introduction to role:</b><br/>Join our dynamic CVRM Insights, Analytics & Forecasting team and lead the generation of insight and analytics to drive performance for the CVRM Commercial Business Unit. This role provides strategic business insights capabilities, consolidates insights from primary market research, forecasting, analytics, and competitive intelligence into insights and recommendations. As a partner to the Brand Teams, you will bring independent and strategic thinking to the brand, supporting and challenging where appropriate.</p><p></p><p><b>Accountabilities:</b></p><p><b>Insights Generation</b></p><ul><li><p>Leads the integration of insight and analysis from a variety of sources (PMR, CI, secondary data) to advise material decisions including brand strategy and forecasts</p></li><li><p>Consolidates a variety of primary and secondary data and information into actionable brand opportunity/strategy recommendations</p></li><li><p>Generate qualitative and quantitative insights to understand patient and physician behaviour, trends and drive strategic implementation within the brand</p></li><li><p>Drives performance of sales force execution with research advising optimized message strategy, segmentation and targeting, and quality of sales force customer interactions</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Primary Market Research (PMR) – qualitative and quantitative</b></p><ul><li><p>Responsible for ensuring that interpretation of primary market research is generating relevant actionable differentiating insights. Through a closeness to the Global Commercial Brand Team and a strong understanding of the CVRM market, this role is encouraged to translate business issues and questions into Insight plans that clearly articulate the knowledge gaps, and accordingly leverage functional expertise to craft research and interprete results to generate relevant conclusions and recommendations.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for managing all primary research in accordance with internal AZ compliance policies and best practices, with agreed preferred vendors</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Analytics & <span>Performance/Reporting</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Align and integrate insight with CVRM Brand/Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE), competitive intelligence as well as Market Access Insight to advise brand performance, opportunities and forecast assumptions</p></li><li><p>Partner with the reporting team in the CoE guiding all performance/KPI development and reporting, enabling a detailed understanding of brand performance and opportunities based on a variety of inputs</p></li><li><p>Integrate quantitative analyses and lead the development of robust business case analyses to identify key opportunities and address critical business issues for the brand and/or TA</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Essential Skills/Experience:</b><br/>• Business, Commercial or Scientific related degree<br/>• 5-10 years analytical experience in the pharmaceutical or consumer industry<br/>• Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research across different stakeholder groups e.g. HCPs, patients and payers<br/>• Proven track record to conduct analytics using secondary data sources key to the pharmaceutical industry (IQVIA, Symphony, Prognos,, Decision Resources, patient level data) and performance tracking<br/>• Good business acumen, strategic thinking and understanding of sales and marketing business practices<br/>• Ability to influence laterally and vertically<br/>• Global mindset and high emotional intelligence <br/>• Ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments to demanding deadlines with minimal direction<br/>• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as teamwork abilities<br/>• Comfortable working in a matrix environment<br/>• Strong written and verbal communication<br/>• Experience in leading insight for a specialty product with knowledge of specialty pharmacy and buy and bill distribution and tracking</p><p></p><p><b>Desirable Skills/Experience:</b><br/>• MBA<br/>• High degree of creativity and innovation in developing innovative approaches, processes and methodologies<br/>• In depth knowledge of regional market dynamics and/or in-market or regional experience<br/>• Experience within the Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolism therapy areas</p><p></p><p>When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to encourage life-changing medicines.
