CPH is looking for well qualified professional in our Sanford, Florida office for the following position:

Survey Crew Chief with 5 or more years of experience in a Crew Chief position.

Hiring Bonus of upto $1,000 for selected candidate!

Duties Include

Crew Chief/Party Chief for a field survey crew engaged in making plane and/or geodetic surveys for construction, topographic, right-of-way, boundary, and control survey projects.

Requirements

• Must be able to participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives.
• Must be able to work out of town for up to one (2) weeks at a time and also be available for occasional nighttime/”third shift” work
• Will be responsible for gathering field survey data through use of conventional, robotic, and Global Positioning System (GPS) methods.
• Set up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment, including electronic total stations (Topcon GPT series), robotic total stations (Topcon PS-103 and GT-503) data collectors (FC-250’s up to FC-500’s), and GPS equipment (Topcon HiPer V’s), in order to measure distances, elevations, and angles
• Must be proficient in the use of TOPCON Magnet surveying software.
• Must be computer literate and be able to receive and send files to and from the office utilizing email, ftp sites, Dropbox, etc…
• Prepare field notes and sketches.
• Perform field surveying for roadway, bridges, and flood control projects, including construction layout and locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control, right of way, monuments, corners, boundaries, and property lines.
• Will also need to perform surveying calculations using engineering calculator, laptop computer, personal computer, and graphics and or coordinate geometry (Cogo) software; analyze data for mathematical closure and geometric accuracy.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
