About the role

The BIC (Business and Industry CoPilot) Business Acceleration Solutions (BAS) team is dedicated to accelerating strategic growth to drive key business results for the Business and Industry Copilot Team including D365 and Power Platform products. The BAS team drives Strategic Initiatives to deliver accelerated growth partnering closely with product engineering, customer service, sales, marketing, business planning and finance to accelerate cross-BAP and cross-functional collaboration results.

 

We are looking for a Business Program Financial Lead to join our team.


As the Business Program Financial Lead, you will be specifically responsible for Gross Margin oversight and the management of COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and Revenue levers that can drive improved revenue growth and deliver against North Star revenue targets for D365. You will have accountability for the oversight of the Gross Margin on behalf of the Engineering organization and liaise directly with COGS and Revenue Finance. You will work to identify and track opportunities and risks against the margin and may directly lead cross-functional efforts to deliver against identified business results. In addition, you will partner with the BIC Executive Office to support budget analysis and align on additional opportunities as needed to identify savings and investment opportunities across various spend categories.

Responsibilities

• Own standard rhythm of business (RoB) for Gross Margin on behalf of engineering including monthly close activities and monthly Microsoft Product Reviews (MPR).
• Serve as primary liaison on Gross Margin health to Finance and other key partners.
• Utilizes direction and strategy from leadership to help create and execute plans that shift current priorities to new organizational initiatives and objectives, and influences others to change behavior accordingly.
• Actively engage with BAS Strategic Initiative leads and program managers to support execution and funding of program and deliver against defined revenue and COGS goals.
• Collaborate extensively across finance, sales, marketing, business planning and engineering, partners and customers to enable efficient and effective allocation of funds to maximize ROI.
• Lead financial operations to support allocation of funds and tracking of return on investment (ROI).
• Define and track success criteria and performance metrics.
• Contribute to or may lead specific projects, including the project plan, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs supporting broader business outcomes.
• Provide insights to cost-benefit analyses and the evaluation of success metrics, while leading the synthesis of data analytics to derive insights and identify risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

 

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
