Registered Nurse (RN) | Inpatient Endoscopy | Days + Call

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Endoscopy team. The ideal candidate will have experience in endoscopy nursing and a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures.
• Assist physicians and gastroenterology technicians during endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and sigmoidoscopies.
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide appropriate interventions during procedures.
• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Assist with patient recovery and provide post-procedure education and instructions.
• Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of endoscopy equipment and procedure rooms.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain thorough medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Knowledge of endoscopy procedures, equipment, and infection control practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced and high-stress situations.
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting positive patient outcomes.
