General Description:

We are looking for an ambitious hands-on Senior FP&A to join our European finance team and strengthen the finance function in France & Belgium, supporting the Finance Director FrBeLux.  The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, highly organized results driven individual with strong technical and good communication skills, judgment and problem-solving skills with the capacity to work in a non-structured environment.

Essential Functions of the job:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations supporting finance director.
  • Provide commentary and explanations for financial results, highlighting key drivers and potential risks or opportunities.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with business owner and business units to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, adjusting as necessary.
  • Assist in the creation of periodic forecasts to support agile decision-making.

Accounting and Administration:

  • Collaborate and support the central accounting hub in Basel for the periodic closing activities including but not limited to revenues, gross to net reconciliation, accruals & deferrals, inventories and stock reconciliation, personnel costs, and in monthly reconciliation of P&L and Balance sheet actual figures in relation to the transactions of SAP versus budget and forecasts.

Cost Management:

  • Partner with department heads to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and control departmental spending on a monthly basis (including related SAP and admin documents and transaction to investigate, i.e. Purchase orders etc.)

Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects:

  • Conduct special financial analyses and projects as requested by senior management.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with various departments such as accounting, sales, marketing, and operations to gather data and insights for analysis.

Profile:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Finance, Forecasting or Analytics and Accounting & Tax.
  • Experience in PowerBI analysis.
  • Experience in SAP is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software, ERP systems).
  • Comfortable in operating in a non-structured fast paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, inventory, taxation especially in pharma field, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical / Lifesciences mandatory.
  • Experience of delivering insightful point of view from data and ability to present analysis, information and reporting's in a clear and impactful way.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills in finance, forecasting, financial analysis and budgeting. An understanding of business disciplines in order to develop, analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work well with all levels and departments within the company.
