About the role

Description

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Orthopaedic Hand and Reconstructive Microvascular Surgery. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Must be Board Certified. Fellowship training in Reconstructive Microvascular Surgery is strongly preferred.

Teaching responsibilities may include medical school teaching and resident and fellow education in Hand and reconstructive microsurgery.

Clinical responsibilities may include Hand and Reconstructive Microvascular Surgery practice in the Health System Hospitals and on call responsibilities.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical or Orthopaedic basic science and translational research and will be dependent on the candidates interests and independent support.

Evidence of scholarship is required for the Clinician Educator track. Mid-career applicants are encouraged to apply. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
