Role Summary:
This is a key strategic leadership role with responsibility for the ongoing development and execution of training for field sales teams across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In addition to shaping and delivering impactful training programmes, the role includes direct people management of the DACH sales trainers, ensuring alignment, performance, and professional growth across the DACH region.
The role works in close partnership with sales, marketing, medical, and market access leadership, building on the strong foundations of our new starter training programme. It will drive the development and delivery of training for customer-facing sales personnel, based on clearly aligned business needs and in collaboration with key commercial stakeholders.
This position also leads assigned cross-functional projects within the Training Department and requires strong collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external partners. It presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to build on our established training platform and elevate the performance of our sales teams to the next level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Conduct initial assessment of field teams to determine knowledge gap.
- Support the design of content for core curriculum in collaboration with respective SME’s.
- Support the execution of selling skills models to employees to enable greater achievement of business objectives.
- Reinforce training material through one-on-one coaching, role plays, attending sales appointments.
- Develop, coach, and support new and established field members to ensure commercial success.
- Produce detailed training reports & recommendations to improve the overall sales performance.
- Measure effectiveness of programs through field feedback; develop plans to address concerns and support the implementation of solutions.
- Collaborate with management to ensure training objectives are met with consistency and follow the commercial training strategy.
- Keep updated with the knowledge and skills on effective adult training techniques and sales models, then advise field deployment methods depending on content and learning objectives (e.g. Digital training – Self-learning / Instructor led / Coaching…)
- Support and implement training effectiveness and impact measurement programs.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement training and field adoption strategies, convert these into tactical roll-out plans, and deliver results
- Excellent coaching, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development
