We are looking for a Section Manager for the validation team for the chemical & biological manufacturing in Uppsala. You will be a critical part of our Manufacturing Engineering team of 90 employees supporting the entire manufacturing at the Uppsala site. Do you have a passion for people development, validation and continuous improvements? Then we would like to hear from you.

This position is an onsite role that reports to the Director Manufacturing Engineering and is part of Chemical Production Uppsala (CPU).

What you will do:

• Be the direct manager for a team of 14 experienced validation engineers within manufacturing
• Develop and execute the strategy and operational plan for the section, including budget responsibility
• Coach and support individual validation engineers in their continued personal development
• Secure validation leaders for projects within manufacturing in accordance with business needs and set priority
• Support in developing new and improved validation strategies and procedures through Kaizen and continuous improvements
• Be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Management Team

Who you are:

• Master’s degree in Chemical/Biotechnology - engineering or relevant field
• Extensive experience from the Life Sciences industry
• Proven ability to lead and develop people and teams
• Previous experience from validation
• Swedish and English both required as working language

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Previous experience from people leader position

To be successful in this position, you need to be result-oriented and have a strong collaborative attitude, focus on both internal and external customer needs as well as the bigger picture.
