The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team is looking for a motivated AWS DevOps Engineer to assist in the deployment, monitoring, and support of our cloud-based data platform. This role is ideal for early-career professionals eager to develop their cloud and DevOps skills in a collaborative, learning-oriented environment.
You will work closely with senior engineers to support infrastructure automation, CI/CD practices, and cloud resource management, with a focus on operational excellence, security, and performance.
What you’ll do:
Monitoring and Operations Support
- Assist in managing monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
- Participate in daily operations, incident response, and root cause documentation.
- Help triage and escalate issues as needed, with support from senior team members.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Support the creation and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Contribute to automating routine cloud operations (e.g., deployments, snapshots).
CI/CD Enablement
- Assist in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Help troubleshoot deployment issues and work with development teams to improve pipeline efficiency.
Cloud Resource Management
- Support provisioning and configuration of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM.
- Learn and apply security and cost optimization best practices in cloud environments.
Collaboration & Learning
- Work under the guidance of senior DevOps engineers to deliver reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Participate in team retrospectives and process improvements.
- Actively pursue learning opportunities to advance AWS and DevOps skills.
What you’ll bring:
- 1–2 years of experience or strong internship experience in a DevOps, infrastructure, or cloud support role.
- Basic familiarity with AWS core services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Exposure to scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tooling (Terraform, Ansible).
- Understanding of source control and CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience).
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $65,000-$110,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
