Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the development and implementation of project management standards and disciplines for all projects and programs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the department in collaboration with leadership.
  • Able to function as a Business Relationship Manager and/or Senior Project Manager for key organizational initiatives and strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple enterprise-wide initiatives across functional departments, service lines, or campuses at any given time without any degradation in the quality of work performed.
  • Ability to identify and resolve change management and integration issues between projects and affected departments.  Support the resolution of issues as needed.
  • Ability to effectively manage training offerings and certification programs.
  • Ensure that project management principles are consistently applied across all projects following organizational project management standards.
  • Seek out opportunities for improvement within customer departments, projects, and processes.  Apply organization lessons learned to future engagements.
  • Develop and maintain processes, tools, and methodologies that support effective project management functions in the areas of planning, decision-making, resource allocation, status tracking, and project success criteria.
  • Support and collaborate with operational leaders in the development of project plans for approved projects.  Aid in the identification of project goals, overall objectives, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead project initiation which includes collection of business requirements, operational assessment, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Identify project risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analyses on projects, monitor project deadlines and costs, and conduct post implementation reviews.
  • Perform process analysis, research, project design, operations management, and data quality/integrity measurements.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience managing senior-level internal team members, and reporting to executive level sponsors.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Certification in a process improvement discipline (e.g. Lean, etc.) required
  • 8 years work experience or Master’s with 5 years work experience in leading enterprise wide projects utilizing project management methods with proven implementation of detailed work plans

  • Proficiency in software applications such as MS Office, Visio, SharePoint, database applications, MS Project, Minitab, etc.
  • Proven experience with building strong relationships with key customers and effective communication strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Understanding of healthcare business systems and processes preferred
