Logistics Operations Manager
Walpole, MA
 

As a Logistics Operations Manager your responsibilities will include the management of strategic development and operational performance of physical logistics operations in support of the Walpole and Pascagoula, including direct and indirect management of Logistics partner staff, operations, and contracts.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review and Interpret customer contracts for Packing/Packaging/ and preservation and logistics, in support of planning and control and manufacturing, aftermarket and programs.
  • Creation of offline paperwork to support Customer requirements for shipments of material (including Packing list, Commercial invoices, SLI, labels for parts, Stencil’s, MSL, Export cover sheets Crate specific labels) 
  • Interface with 3PL moving material and track material in transit. Work with transport companies, dispatchers, drivers, contact personnel from 3PL’s and process in bound and out bound material in a timely faction.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and monitoring service level agreements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), costs and behavioral metrics for Rolls-Royce physical logistics operations to ensure that business requirements are realized, and Quality, Cost, Delivery and Responsiveness are optimized
  • Participating and monitoring Walpole’s logistics budget and a key understanding of the IT systems at Walpole, as well as utilizing SAP.
  • Ensure Site Compliance with RRMS Logistics Processes (SP2 / SP5) and Plan all Business Continuity / Risk Aspects for Logistics in Walpole and Pascagoula

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate's degree with 4+ years’ experience in logistics management, supply chain management, system or IT OR;
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience in logistics management, supply chain management, system or IT OR;
  • Masters’ degree with experience in logistics management, supply chain management, system or IT OR;
  • In lieu of degree, 6+ years’ experience in logistics management, supply chain management, system or IT OR;
  • To be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires US Citizenship
