Food Safety/ Quality Assurance Specialist

Parallel Employment is currently seeking a Food Safety/Quality Assurance Specialist for a reputable food manufacturing company. This role entails overseeing the implementation and compliance of quality assurance and food safety standards throughout the production process. You will work closely with production staff to ensure that all products meet health and safety regulations as well as customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain food safety and quality assurance programs.
• Conduct regular inspections of the production process to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Prepare and present reports on quality metrics and issues to management.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety practices and quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
• Participate in audits and inspections by regulatory agencies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in food safety and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
