It means hiring the right people and giving them the training, freedom and opportunity they need to do pioneering work.</p><p></p><p>We are seeking an Engineer to design, develop and deliver significant components of engineering solutions to satisfy changing and diverse business goals.  Taking a lead in the design of solution components, you will be a role model of re-use, build fit for purpose and maintainable solutions, encourage best practices and deliver robust and well-tested solutions.   The ability to engage and partner with your business in order to deliver solutions iteratively will be key to your success.  Our engineers are creative, collaborative, innovative and passionate with a strong desire to make an impact.</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p></p><ul><li>Employ a range of techniques to analyse problems and evaluate multiple solutions against engineering, business &amp; strategic criteria</li><li>Collaborate to achieve consensus on topics and issues and contribute to communities</li><li>Identify and resolve barriers to business deliveries implementing solutions which iteratively deliver value</li><li>Design solutions using common design patterns with a range of design tools &amp; techniques</li><li>Conduct peer reviews to ensure designs are fit for purpose, extensible &amp; re-usable</li><li>Deliver end to end first-class engineering solutions across a range of technology platforms</li><li>Improve delivery standards, working practices, tools &amp; solutions and driving adoption of automation tools</li><li>Ensure stable and reliable production environments and high-quality service delivery to customers</li><li>Investigate production incidents &amp; lead remediation, analyse services &amp; components</li><li>Design &amp; build solutions which are secure &amp; controlled</li><li>Investigate &amp; report on issues and potential risk events within designs and solutions</li></ul><p></p><p>Skills &amp; Qualifications:</p><p></p><p>  Mandatory</p><ul><li>Good understanding of ETL and Data Warehouse concepts</li><li>Excellent technical skills in SQL and PL/SQL</li><li>Experience with ODI or other ETL tool</li><li>Ability to design, develop and maintain complex <span>application/components</span> including store procedures, functions and packages.</li><li>Good understanding of data modelling and database design</li><li>Data analysis skills</li><li>Open to learn Google Cloud technologies (Big Query, Data Flow)</li><li>Analytical thinker experienced in a range of problem-solving techniques &amp; approaches.</li><li>Team player who shares and collaborates, a keen listener and quick learner.</li><li>Communicates clearly and influences using coherent, fact and benefit-based proposals</li><li>Enables experimentation and fast learning approaches to creating business solutions</li><li>Understands key elements of security, risk &amp; control</li></ul><p></p><p>  Nice to have</p><ul><li><span>  Experience</span> with Data Vault 2.0 modeling techniques</li><li>  Experience in banking <span>projects          </span></li><li>  Experience with Agile Projects</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Diversity, inclusion and mutual respect are essential elements of who we are.
