Boeing DAS (Digital Aviation Solutions) is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Product Manager to join our team in the Englewood CO or Seattle WA location. As our Predictive Maintenance Product Manager (IC) Lead or Principle, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and success of our predictive maintenance solution strategy, products and services. Your role will involve a deep understanding of our target users/customers, data analysis, industry trends, business operations, and product functionality. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, designers, and senior leadership, to ensure seamless integration and optimization of our offer within the market.

Position Responsibilities:

Offer Knowledge:

  • Become an acknowledged expert on our target users/customers, understanding their needs and pain points.
  • Utilize various data tools to analyze and gain insights into how our products and services are used by users.
  • Stay updated on industry and technology trends, competitive landscape, and relevant domain knowledge.
  • Articulate integration points and upsell paths with other offers, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the broader customer and industry ecosystem.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of our business dimensions, including marketing, sales, finance, services, legal, compliance, and privacy.
  • Comprehend pricing models and compare our offer to top competitors, ensuring a competitive advantage.

Process Skills and Techniques:

  • Employ effective discovery techniques to identify and address product and service risks (value, usability, feasibility, business viability).
  • Proactively tackle risks upfront, iteratively learning through experiments and prototypes.
  • Solve problems collaboratively, focusing on outcomes and utilizing both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Define and communicate our predictive maintenance strategy effectively.
  • Actively listen to discover unmet needs and pain points that may not be explicitly stated.
  • Utilize optimization techniques to improve and refine products rapidly once they are live and in production.
  • Understand responsibilities to engineers/developers, consultants, sales, product marketing team members and other key team members and stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage priorities and maintain the holistic predictive maintenance roadmap.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the broader product development process, including discovery and delivery.

People Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative relationship with engineers/developers and designers, involving them early in the process and providing direct access to customers.
  • Leverage the skills and expertise of the team effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company, establishing mutual respect and trust.
  • Act as a true partner committed to the business success of stakeholders.
  • Effectively share the offer vision and strategy, motivating and inspiring the product team and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills by effectively communicating and motivating the team and stakeholders, especially in stressful situations.

Performance Metrics:

  • User and Customer Satisfaction: Measure the satisfaction levels of target users and customers through surveys, customer health feedback, and ratings to assess the effectiveness of the Product Manager in meeting their needs and expectations.
  • Offer Performance Metrics: Track key metrics such as revenue growth, market share, customer acquisition and retention rates, and profitability to evaluate the success of the offers managed by the Product Manager.
  • Product Adoption and Usage: Monitor the adoption rate and usage patterns of the products and services to determine if the Product Manager has effectively positioned and promoted them to target users and customers.
  • Cross-Sell and Upsell Opportunities: Measure the success of integration points and upsell paths with other offers by tracking the conversion rates and revenue generated from cross-selling and upselling activities facilitated by the Product Manager.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Assess the satisfaction levels of stakeholders, including engineers/developers, designers, and senior leadership, to gauge the Product Manager's ability to collaborate effectively and establish mutual respect and trust.
  • Time-to-Market: Evaluate the speed and efficiency with which new products and features are delivered to the market, with evidence of product-market fit, measuring the Product
