Senior Manager Accounting

The Role:

Fanatics is seeking a manger level candidate to play a critical role in overseeing the end to end Accounting process for the North America In-Venue Retail Business. The candidate should have a strong foundation of US GAAP experience as well as a strong familiarity with month-end close activities and team collaboration skills.

What you'll do:

• Own the end-to-end close process for this business
• Participate in supporting external Financial Statement audits as needed
• Manage a team and prioritize activities to drive operational excellence
• Seek to continuously improve the month-end close process and drive efficiencies
• Liaise with FP&A on Accounting related matters that impact the budget or forecast
• Partner with cross functional groups such as Tech, Legal, and Operations on activities impacting the business
• Identify, implement, and improve internal controls, including key SOX initiatives.
• Drive improved process documentation
• Build relationships with key Fanatics customers and internal departments 
• Hire, mentor, and develop team members.
• Review key Account reconciliations and Journal entries prepared by Staff

What we are looking for:

• Accounting Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Dynamics 365 and Oracle strongly preferred
• CPA is a plus
• Experience leading and mentoring teams
• Strong Excel skills
• Someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Retail or Brick & Mortar Accounting experience is a plus
