Job Description
As a key member of the Raffles Hotels & Resorts Commercial team, the Director, Luxury Sales is responsible for growing Americas business into a select portfolio of Raffles Resorts around the world. The Director, Luxury Resort Sales-Americas will lean on his/her vast network and experience, specifically in resort sales, to proactively solicit new business, source new accounts, identify new targets, and re-solicit past business leads. This key sales role represents a select set of Raffles Resorts when growing business from within the Americas and is responsible for growing Americas-based business into Raffles Resorts. The experienced Seller meets goals in room night and revenue as set for each property. The Director, Luxury Resorts Sales - Americas partners with on-property sales teams to grow top-line revenue. This person will oversee and manage segments such as leisure, MICE, entertainment, and corporate travel from a North America point of sales. The Director, Luxury Resort Sales - Americas will work closely with the VP, Sales and DOS of each property to develop partnerships and maximize market share.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively grow Americas-based business at Raffles Resorts, with special focus on hotels in Bali, Maldives, Cambodia, Seychelles, and Udaipur.
- Responsible for growing luxury travel industry, corporate, sports and entertainment sales from existing partners (including TMC/Consortia, travel advisors, MICE) and generating new business to grow top-line revenue.
- Solicit potential new accounts or business opportunities by leveraging business intelligence or other third-party data sources to generate leads.
- Utilizes negotiation skills and creative selling abilities to uncover new business.
- Responsible for account strategy and activation roadmap, marketing & sponsorship activities, hotel education, and client presentations.
- Develop and execute quarterly and annual account reviews and market action plans.
- Actively research new B2B opportunities in driving revenue and brand awareness.
- Conduct customer-facing sales activities/business trips on behalf of the hotels as appropriate.
- Lead and participate in relevant tradeshows, conventions, FAM trips and industry events as required.
- Understand & promote all selling tools & loyalty programs.
- Collaborate with Accor Global Sales Team on sales and marketing strategy.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five+ years of Director-level experience in hotel luxury sales, either on-property or in a regional/national/global office.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Expert knowledge of sales in the luxury hotel market and luxury segment culture.
- Strong and influential ‘rolodex’ of decision-makers, advisors, agents in the luxury hotel sales environment, specifically for resorts.
- Exceptional experience successfully developing and implementing successful sales strategies for multiple properties.
- Proven success navigating complex organizations to achieve goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills can influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Ability to interpret market data and apply to sales strategy.
- Excited about building a new program and working on a developing team.
- High competency in outlook, word, excel and power point is required. Experience in salesforce/ ANAIS desired, but not required.
- Willingness to travel to meet teams, attend industry events, and visit properties.
- Travel savvy.

- Salary Range: $ 105,000-156,000
