The Army Community Service (ACS) Family Advocacy Program (FAP) focuses on preventing the onset and recurrence of child and spouse/intimate partner maltreatment and their associated conditions. The program components include comprehensive community education and training related to the primary risk factors for maltreatment and neglect, to include, but not be limited to, persons with special needs, persons returning from deployment, persons in financial difficulty, and persons newly assigned to or pending departure from the installation.

The Prevention Education Team Lead acts as the on-site representative to monitor staffing of the work site. The Prevention Education Team Lead plans, implements, and administers required services in the performance work statement (PWS), ensuring high performance standards are met.

    Job Description

    • Acts as liaison between Government client and contractor personnel, maintaining continuity between support operations at ACS and contractor corporate offices.
    • Acts as the contractor's on-site representative to monitor staffing of the work and serves as a single point of contact between Government and contractor personnel.
    • Ensures effective management of resources assigned to the requirement.
    • Implements processes and assigns appropriate resources to effectively administer requirements.
    • Oversees day-to-day performance of on-site Social Services Specialists and Educators
    • Generates and submits a variety of reports, including a monthly program management review highlighting services provided.
    • Monitors changes in policies, laws, and regulations and ensures personnel performing services maintain current knowledge of most recent applicable local and federal laws and military regulations.
    • Provides support, including but not limited to briefings, classes, playgroups, outreach events, etc.
    • Provides crisis support services in the event of a crisis, disaster, or local emergency.
    • Assists in planning and completing annual community needs assessment IAW FAP Accreditation Standards.
    • Plans and maintains a 90-day monthly class/event calendar for all ACS FAP activities.
    • Develops, updates, and implements a marketing plan to promote FAP awareness.
    •  Assists with overseeing the design and implementation of a variety of research-based trainings (e.g., workshops, classes, and briefings)

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology or related field from an accredited institution
    • Five (5) years of professional experience in domestic violence prevention and child abuse neglect or maltreatment, education, or intervention services.
    • Three (3) years of supervisory experience
    • Two (2) years of experience in military lifestyle (may have been gained through work experience in the military support services, through prior active-duty status, or as a current or former military family member).
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, and the ability to adapt to changing procedures and environments.
    • Must be able to read, write, understand, and articulate English fluently and in a professional manner.
    • Will complete the Family Advocacy Staff Training (FAST) via the FAST Distance Learning course within 90 days from providing services under this contract.
    • Shall also attend the FAST resident course within one year from providing services under this contract.
    • Will be responsible for any associated expenses required to attend the FAST resident course. Enrollment for the course is through the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS). Page 5 of 29 The FAST Distance Learning course must be completed prior to the five-day resident course
