Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Purpose of the Position:
Provide administrative support for the AG Bell Field Engineering Program and associated Engineering Services managers in an efficient, proactive and quality manner. Provide direction and oversight of workstream members to help grow and sustain the AG Bell Field Engineering Program as the primary entry-level pipeline of engineering talent in COC.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Oversee the onboarding of new-hires within Field Engineering (communication to new-hires, tickets to IT, HR coordination, etc.).
- Provide written and verbal communication regarding program information with Field Engineers, supervisors, internal/external hiring managers, and extended leadership teams.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data such as program statistics, program targets, and recruiting efficiency.
- Schedule plant tours.
- Serve as the primary marketing/recruiting strategist to increase brand awareness of the program.
- Establish, grow, and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow
Education & Experience: Required
- AS degree with 2 years project leadership or administrative experience OR 5 years of equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in corporate environments.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Experience developing internal processes and filing systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Travel Requirements:
- 5-10% Domestic Travel, for durations up to 1 weeks.
Hours of work / work schedule / flex-time:
- 40hrs M-F, Flexibility required particularly for travel
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $75,902.00 - $104,366.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
