Summary
Responsible for daily support of multifunctional business and administrative departmental support, shipment and receiving activities, and control of physical inventories for GP&L Production. Have the ability to operate in a high-paced, productive environment to support all internal customer requirements in a timely, professional manner.
Pay Range: Starting at $24.54 (Depending on qualifications and experience)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday typical work schedule
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Monitor, reconcile and initiate orders for services, materials and supplies.
Monitor and maintain inventory and purchasing records including amount, type and value.
Communicate with Managers to review and determine appropriate inventory levels.
Oversee physical counts of inventory items to verify accuracy of record keeping.
Assign identification number and location codes to new inventory items requested by Management.
Contact vendors and enter orders for supplies and materials using COG purchasing procedures.
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
Train other Production staff on proper inventory procedures.
Operate forklift and other material handling services.
Maintain warehouse inventory including keeping accurate records for issuing and receiving tools, documenting conditions, ordering replacement tools for worn or damaged items.
Set and maintain purchase orders for vendors for payment
Maintain sufficient stock of consumables, spill prevention supplies, and safety PPE
Update managers on supply chain problems and what actions have been taken to potentially mitigate risk, and provide updates on inventory levels for strategic decisions
Maintain cleanliness of all warehouse areas.
Assists with transporting vehicles for inspections and/or repairs.
- Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
Some college courses completed or training beyond the high school level
Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, customer service and/or administrative support
2 years inventory experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic to intermediate knowledge of business practices and procedures Intermediate skills in PC and systems applications
Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills Proficient organizational skills
Proficient oral and written communications skills
Ability to multitask Ability to adapt to various working environments
Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment
Ability to work independently and with little to no supervision
Ability to lift at least 45 pounds
Licenses and Certifications
Valid Class C Texas driver's license
