Program Assistant – Prevent Child Abuse Indiana (PCAIN)
Salary: $38,000 - $40,500
The Program Assistant for the Prevent Child Abuse Indiana program is responsible for coordinating program-specific support efforts for departmental communications and activities. In addition to assisting in the organization of day-to-day operations, this position includes duties such as management of social media, advertising, and programmatic marketing, document creation, other special projects, event planning, answering correspondence, and assembling highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner. This position supports the agency’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and update content on the agency’s website, ensuring consistent design standards and messaging as well as maintaining an engaging and appropriate social media presence through various social media outlets
- Assist with scheduling and preparation for activities of the PCAIN program and others as assigned
- Create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking outcomes
- Maintain program supplies, brochures and items for PCAIN store
- Bookkeeping and financial tracking as required
- Provide support for and help to organize various live events, trainings, and meetings for PCAIN, Family Connection Network, and other Villages programs as needed. This includes room preparation, materials to be distributed, food and beverage ordering, hotel reservations, technical support with conference calling, Teams and Zoom meetings
- Some after-hours and weekend duties may be required for special projects and events
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of related office or support experience
- Proficient in social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)
- Requires strong attention to detail along with outstanding computer skills including the use of SharePoint, Teams, Office 365 (including Word, Excel, and Forms), Adobe Suite, Hootsuite, WordPress, Canva, or related technology
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Planning, Public Relations, or related field
