Job Description:

Summary

Assesses the performance of and shapes the structure and direction of new and existing product lines and leads the development and execution of strategic product plans for key initiatives such as the introduction of new products, product line extensions, or product enhancements. Accountable for achieving specific goals for each product, including evaluating product performance, and identifying innovations to address customer needs and improve product performance in the market. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

"The Risk Capabilities team within Discover Global Network is responsible for product development lifecycle management to develop and improve tools and capabilities enabling Payments Risk and wider Payment’s business teams to appropriately evaluate and manage Risks. This includes the Payments Partner System of Record, High Brand Risk portal, Case Management systems, Data Compromise tools, among others. This leader develops and manages the strategy to identify opportunities that future mature and sustain Operational Excellence and First Line of Defense Risk Capabilities to support evolving partner types while maintaining regulatory compliance."

Responsibilities 

  • Identify sources, monitor, analyze, and interpret key product performance metrics including financials, network volumes, other key statistics, and internal/external customer feedback trends, then develop and communicate findings, and make strategic and tactical recommendations for performance improvements.
  • Define and execute strategic product road-maps to build new products, enhance existing products, or improve performance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies and methodologies to on-board new partners
  • Track and understand industry trends, research findings, and competitive innovations.
  • Provide business analysis and reporting on a periodic basis
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop or support sales efforts or goto-market strategies.
  • Serve as Product Management business lead on cross-functional teams, including internal departments such as Sales, Operations, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Technology in the evaluation, development, management, and/or enhancement of assigned products and/or programs.

Minimum Qualifications 

At minimum here is what you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Social Sciences or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in Product Management or Related
  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments, or related including Product Management Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments, or related
  • 2+ years of experience in Fintech platforms, start ups or Related
  • Certification in CSCIP/P

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
