You would be supporting highly skilled software engineers specialising in building a set of components that will enable partners to access and join data from multiple underlying stores. The technology is built in-house and powered by SQL and NoSQL databases, <span>Elasticsearch/OpenSearch,</span> Kafka, Kubernetes and Go.<br/>You need to have hands-on experience in building cloud solutions and a proven track record of successfully leading people and projects.<br/>We are a remote-first company so you must bring your excellent verbal and written communication skills to bear when you are working with your engineering teams and cross-functional teams across the globe.<br/><br/><b>What You'll Do:</b><br/><br/>Lead and develop a team of software engineers, guiding them through successful and timely completion of technical product development projects.<br/>Play a critical role in attracting, retaining, and fostering the professional growth of our software engineers.<br/>Collaborate cross-functionally with peers across different organizations.<br/>Contribute to building globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud-based systems capable of processing trillions of events daily.<br/><br/><b>What You'll Need:</b></p><ul><li><p>Engineering Leadership: A proven track record of building and managing strong core engineering teams, with 5+ years of hands-on management experience leading engineering teams.</p></li><li><p>Software Development Lifecycle: 10+ years of comprehensive software engineering experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle.</p></li><li><p>Technical Depth: Broad understanding of distributed systems development, including concepts and API development.</p></li><li><p>Cloud Expertise: Solid grounding in the technology of at least one major cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</p></li><li><p>Quality Focus: Solid design and problem-solving skills, with a clear passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance.</p></li><li><p>Team Management &amp; Communication: Clear communication, proactive planning, and effective risk management to achieve team goals.</p></li><li><p>Mentorship: Experience developing and mentoring engineers.</p></li><li><p>Education: MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience.</p></li></ul><p><br/><b>Bonus Points:</b></p><ul><li><p>Knowledge of query optimization techniques.</p></li><li><p>Experience with complex GraphQL APIs.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of ETL processes to move and transform data between different data stores.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of data security principles and best practices.</p></li><li><p>Ability to monitor and optimize query performance across diverse data stores.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>#LI-AV1</p><p>#LI-BP1</p><p>#LI-Remote</p><p></p><p><b><span>Benefits of Working at CrowdStrike: <
