Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Career Ambassador (Employer Relations) for the Career Services Center (CSC). Applicants should be motivated, able to learn new skills quickly, have a genuine desire for helping others, and possess a keen eye for detail. Interested applicants should be comfortable with a high level of responsibility and in good academic standing. Career Ambassadors must possess excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills as well as an ability to connect with diverse individuals. This position will be required to go through ongoing paid training prior to the start of each semester.
The Career Ambassador will support the Career Services Center Employer Relations team. The Ambassador will work on a variety of tasks that will help strengthen relationships with current employer partners. Additionally, the Ambassador will assist with tasks that will help facilitate new relationships with prospective employer relations. This includes: creating marketing materials for social media and on-campus, managing the department’s Handshake account, answering phone calls and emails, planning career events, and other duties as assigned.
