Job Description
Responsibilities of a Part Time Diesel Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:
Lecture and Lab instruction for Diesel Technology courses.
Provide Lab Safety Training.
Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
Provide advisement to students.
Some program and or curriculum development may be requested.
Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.
Required Qualifications
5 years of experience in the Diesel Heavy Truck/Equipment Industry
Preferred Qualifications
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Technologies
Cummins/Caterpillar/Detroit Engine Certified
Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
Knowledge in Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Schedule: Diesel Technology courses are taught at the North Las Vegas Campus, in-person and are scheduled during the day, afternoon, and evening.
Salary: $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
