Job Description

The Inpatient rehabilitation technician will assist licensed rehabilitation clinicians in administering prescribed therapy treatments as permitted by South Carolina Law. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment, replenishes supplies as needed, and provides clerical assistance as requested. Performs daily order entry for all rehabilitation services promptly.  Rehabilitation Technician to report to department Managers and Director of Rehabilitation.

Education:   High school graduate or GED. 

Experience: One-year prior experience is preferred.  Education about rehabilitation aides is recommended if no experience.

Licenses/Certificates:  None required.

For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker, #2. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet., #3. 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand.
