JOB DESCRIPTION:
Snyder Equipment has supplied quality products to the railroad industry since 1936. From our early days supplying water delivery systems to steam locomotives to constructing today’s sophisticated rail support equipment, we have developed extensive product lines dedicated to servicing locomotives in both freight and transit operations. Our offerings include fueling systems, wayside and service track equipment, onboard locomotive components, remanufacturing capabilities, rail-yard expansion/renovation projects, and custom fabrication work. Position Title
Remanufacturing Technician- 2nd shift
Monday - Friday 2 PM - 10:30 PM, $16/hr + $1/hr differential
Reports to
Production Supervisor
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
- Identify serviceable vs. non serviceable parts.
- Operation of semi-automatic equipment i.e. pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultra-sonic washers.
- Handle parts, tools in a safe manner.
- Proper use of power and manual tools. i.e. impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, hand tools.
- Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Capacity
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
- Good mechanical skills
- Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
- Ability to complete disassembly process without destroying parts.
