Job Description
General Function
Assemble machines, equipment, and subassemblies following assembly drawing, written documentation and verbal specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and specifications to plan and complete mechanical assemblies.
- Follow generally accepted guidelines and wiring diagrams to route and connect wires for electrical systems.
- Utilize hand and power tools during the assembly process.
- Assemble components using a variety of fasteners.
- Bend, route and install flexible or rigid tubing for pneumatic systems following schematic drawings.
- Measure components for inspection and fit
- Apply problem solving and basic math skills as required.
- Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills are required. Good organization, planning, problem solving and troubleshooting skills to accomplish tasks efficiently. Must be able to communicate well with others within a team setting and to interface with other departments.
Associate’s degree from a two-year college or a minimum of one year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
