Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer for World Headquarters located in Chicago, IL, you will:
- Works on a product team and leads the design and development of AI solutions that deliver functionality of a complicated nature on the complete product or products it supports.
- This role leads to the creation/design of highly complex AI systems by guiding a team of engineers.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to others within the AI discipline.
- Ensures that new superior AI technologies are utilized in products and that products have the required cost, reliability, availability, schedule and performance integrity; Uses new and emerging AI design patterns to promote resiliency in product-to-product integrations.
- Recognized as a technical expert to solve business problems in partnership with technical and business stakeholders.
- Gathers information, creates new concepts, designs and evaluates prototypes and prepares business cases.

What Skills You Need
- 2+ years of experience developing, coding, configuring, and testing AI programs and systems.
- 2+ years of experience evaluating and implementing enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of AI applications.
- 2+ years of experience analyzing assignments and determining AI specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives.
- Executes necessary documentation as needed.
- Collaborates with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that AI features meet business needs.
- Follows industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.
- Mentors AI engineers within the team and throughout the organization.
- Leads AI engineering practices alongside engineering manager.

- Has an expert understanding of the principles, can apply the information to complex situations, solve complex problems, conduct research/break new ground, develop new applications, and provide expert support for other practitioners.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
