Job Description

The Staffing & Onboarding Manager for Yosemite National Park will be responsible for the overall on-boarding function for all employees. The manager will oversee the onboarding team and their responsibilities including internal and external full cycle recruiting. In addition, the manager will oversee the training schedule, compliance, and development with the Senior HR Manager and other leaders. The Staffing and Onboarding Manager will be responsible for compliance of training, recruiting, and other HR functions.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position ranges from $66,560 to $75,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the full cycle recruiting for hourly associates including posting positions, advertising, job offers, and on-boarding.
  • Responsible for assisting Senior HR Manager with salaried hiring.
  • Work directly with Talent Acquisition to maintain compliance with corporate programs and ensure hiring the best candidates
  • Manager and develop on-boarding programs for all new hires
  • Lead Yosemite international hiring and on-boarding to include J1 and H2B programs
  • Support other locations in the region on hourly hiring
  • Lead team for tracking of all hiring efforts
  • Track and report on recruiting and hiring efforts.
  • Work with District Manager and Sr. HR Manager on monitoring staffing levels though Yosemite Staffing Matrix for each profit center locations   
  • Assist with intern and manager in training hiring and on-boarding
  • Oversee the internal hiring and bidding process in line with Union Contracts
  • Work closely with operations management to develop interview guide and proper hiring
  • Assist managers with Aramark’s recruiting software systems and tracking development opportunities
  • Maintain Yosemite Hospitality’s Affirmative Action Plan and look for ways to build diversity
  • Build the hourly recruitment strategy
  • Maintain Recruiting Profiles and build relationships with local workforce groups
  • Maintain compliance with I9, training, contract, CBAs, and NPS rules and regulations
  • Assist leadership team in developing new trainings for hourly and salaried employees
  • Team training classes and orientation classes
  • Assist with Employee Engagement and running the WEST Committee
  • Follow all of Aramark SAFE activities
  • Track and report out all online Learning Management activities
  • Follow all Aramark policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Reports to Senior Human Resources Manager
  • 3 salaried non-exempt direct reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality or similar required
  • 1-2 years previous experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisitions
  • Previous experience hiring for seasonal or remote locations preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to work with all levels of management
  • Previous experience working in union environments strongly preferred
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, or evenings
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally for work events
