Stacker Labor (Scaler/Palletizer - Links Nights) 2nd Shift Full Time - Start Time 4:00 p.m. -Newbern, TN 50588

Job Details:

This position starts at $20.15/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime.  We have open positions for second shift.

This facility operates five days a week with potential for overtime and produces Sausage Patties, Roll Sausage and Sausage Links.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for placing trays in box, weighing box on scale and stacking boxes correctly and ensuring print is legible, while adhering to good safety practices, food safety policies and company policies.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for proper placement of boxes on scale and loading trays into boxes. 
• May be required to lift/push/pull up to 35 pounds. 
• Must verify weight by the digital scale adjusting to proper weight by adding or subtracting layers of links. 
• Change labels as needed. 
• Set up the tape machine and box printer for the line. 
• Supply boxes to person loading boxes. 
• Set up area with all needed equipment. 
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment. 
• Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor. 
• Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead Person, Supervisor or Superintendent. 
• All other duties as assigned. 
• Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
• Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
• Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
