The Adult Beverage Team is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Analyst to support our Front Store Merchandising organization. This position will play a critical role in shaping the customer experience across 5,000+ stores. This position is instrumental in delivering the best products and promotions to our customers by leveraging strong analytical skills to evaluate sales trends, identify opportunities and optimize merchandising strategies.

The ideal candidate can not only identify complex problems but implement solutions and drive strategic changes across the alcohol category as well as support larger business unit/front store challenges outside their assigned category. Candidates should be able to clearly present to Alcohol Directors, Field Leadership, and External Supplier/Distributor leadership. A successful Senior Analyst will leverage strong prioritization skills to proactively anticipate the market and take calculated, well supported risks to grow CVS/category market share while balancing P&L financial impacts. Candidates must be able to successfully:

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops pricing strategies through distributor cost collection, assigned state pricing, and adhering to state margin goals.
  • Analyzes and optimizes item assortment, develops plans to maximize their value, and provides recommendations for improvements.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of the performance, risks, and potential returns of alcohol assets in assigned states.
  • Monitors and analyzes sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the alcohol category and generates reports to evaluate the effectiveness of category strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicate and manage DSD distributors to ensure store instock.
  • Communicate, educate, and create resources for field leaders and stores to execute the alcohol category.
  • Guides and trains alcohol analyst team.  Creates SOP and training documents.
  • Manage store closing and new license process.  Partner with licensing/legal to ensure compliance.
  • Be up to date on industry information through supplier meetings and continued education training on alcohol topics.
  • Coordinate and manage New Item set up and maintenance for planogram and mid-year items.
  • Coordinate and manage of off-shelf programs with key suppliers, setting up programs and running off-shelf reporting.

Education

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: Bachelor Degree
