Job Description

Job Summary: 

The Operations Janitor is responsible for collecting all inedible protein from the floor and place it in the bins correctly labeled. They will be responsible for picking up empty/full bags and placing them in respectable containers, along with any garbage found on the production floor. Also, they will be responsible for taking all garbage from their respected areas into the garbage compactor/baler. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), USDA Guidelines, and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).  

Job Related Skills/Responsibilities 

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area. 

• Report all incidents and deficiencies to the lead/foreman/supervisor. 

• Ensure safety devices are installed and working properly. 

• Suggest improvements to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of all support activities. 

• Adhere to all company personnel policies. 

• Return from breaks in a timely manner; notify lead/supervisor before leaving the department. 

• Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals 

• Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.  

• Prevent and minimize rework and/or inedible waste. 

• Tasks will vary as situations and demand change; lead/supervisor will assign tasks as necessary.  

Administrative Skills 

• Able to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment. 

• Able to read. 

• Able to follow instructions. 

Safety  

• Monitor Unsafe Behavior 

• Follow all OSHA Guidelines 

• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED

Additional Information

The pay range for this role is $13.50 - $18.57 (Hourly). Actual wage will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards.
