Wash Up Technician-Third Shift

As a Washup Technician you will help reduce press set up times by removing print tools and inks from the press, cleaning print tools (anilox, doctor blades, flexo plates, and pans), and re-filing them for future use, as well as additional support duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draining ink from ink pans into their proper containers.
• Storing inks in accordance with the ink filing system.
• Removing used ink pans from the press, cleaning them, and returning them in usable condition.
• Cleaning metering rollers.
• Removing anilox rollers from the press, cleaning them, and returning them in usable condition.
• Cleaning and replacing doctor blades.
• Removing plate cylinders from the press.

Requirements:
Education and Experience:

• HS Diploma or GED.

• Valid drivers license with acceptable clean motor vehicle record (MVR).

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good communication skills.
• Good task prioritization skills.
• Upscale working pace.
• Can do attitude.

• Ability to safely handle cylinders that weigh 40lbs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Training Requirements:

• Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Lifting, standing, crouching, stair climbing with a load, and associated repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random drug screening.

Work Environment:

• Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment.
• Warehouse environment temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Safety shoes are highly recommended in the production area.
• Cut-gloves are required when handling any machine parts with doctor blades or sharp components.
