What you'll do...
We are seeking a manufacturing production supervisor for our Ready Case Beef Plant in Olathe, KS. This role will report to the Production Manager and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a production facility, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely by managing staff, coordinating production schedules, maintaining equipment, and enforcing safety regulations within a manufacturing environment. What Youll Do:- Production Planning and Scheduling:Develop and implement production schedules to meet deadlines, manage workflow, and assign tasks to production team members.
- Quality Control:Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards, identify and address quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Staff Management:Supervise and train production staff, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and address employee concerns.
- Safety Compliance:Enforce safety regulations, conduct safety inspections, and promote a safe working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance:Ensure proper functioning of production machinery, identify and report equipment malfunctions, and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Performance Monitoring:Track production metrics, analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
- Problem-Solving:Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and production delays.
- Reporting:Generate reports on production progress, quality metrics, and performance to management.
- Leadership Skills:Ability to motivate and manage a team, delegate tasks effectively, and provide clear direction.
- Technical Knowledge:Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and quality control procedures.
- Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve production efficiency.
- Communication Skills:Clear and concise communication with team members, management, and other departments.
- Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to identify and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
