Penguin Random House is looking for an Associate Marketing Manager to join the Direct Market Sales team!
Working closely with the sales team to generate BTB marketing initiatives for all imprints across the company, the role will focus on growing business for the comic shop market. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in the creation and execution of customized BTB campaigns for publications across genres including comics, graphic novels (kids and adult), manga, manhua, and more. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly creative marketer, offering a chance to be involved in the expansion of a unique business, while working with a wide variety of titles!

Specific responsibilities include:
- Create and deploy weekly and monthly newsletters, and maintain marketing database
- Oversee the creation of all Direct Market digital and print catalogs
- Oversee the maintenance and updating of PRHComics.com
- Drive the implementation of key market sales days (Free Comic Book Day, Trick-Or-Read, etc.) and trade shows
- Work across divisions to develop campaigns and materials (sell sheets, social media assets, promotion materials)
- Work with the Direct Market Sales team on strategizing and planning title and brand-specific marketing plans
- Collaborate with Publishers and their teams to implement cohesive campaigns and promotions for the Direct Market
- Communicate with Imprint Sales Team to ensure all requisite materials are sourced for seasonal sell-in
- Maintain awareness of the comic market and suggest new and innovative ways to market titles to retailers and consumers

- Minimum of 3 years marketing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and presentation skills
- Proven ability to create creative, engaging, and driven BTB marketing campaigns
- Ability to effectively interact with employees across all levels of an organization
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a busy working environment
- Results-oriented, motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proactive with strong follow-up skills
- Proficiency with creating newsletters, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of online marketing tools, design basics, and digital analytics a plus
- Passion for comics, graphic novels, East Asian comics, and pop culture
The salary for this position is $63,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.

The salary range listed is specific to each particular open position and takes into account various factors including the specifics of the individual role, and candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
