About the role

Zachry Group is seeking a EPC Project Coordinator II for Golden Triangle Polymers Plant in Orange, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordination of project plan and all project deliverables across all phases of the project, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aids, leadership, and coordination of project plan and proposal development activities during the bidding/negotiations phase.
  • Supports project management activities related to critical vendors and JV partners including bidding, contract/agreement development and management of contract & deliverables.
  • Responsible for managing the interfaces between Engineering, Procurement & Construction for all critical materials.
  • Leads the coordination of the Project Execution Planning & AWP Processes during the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases of a project.
  • Provides support, as needed, to the Project Manager/Director, Engineering Manager, Procurement Manager, Construction Manager, Project Controls Manager and Commissioning Manager.
  • Ensures schedule, cost, change management, and progress are being reported accurately and timely by their respective departments.
  • Analyzes project schedule, progress, cost reports and assists Project Manager and Construction Manager in developing and communicating mitigation plans to manage the work.
  • Assist with the regular reporting to Projects Group management and to the Client/Owner of performance and progress related to Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited curriculum is preferred.
  • 8 years of related experience in industrial construction projects. 
  • Technical writing experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Capable of operating and functioning in a fast‐paced work environment. Must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less.
