Job Title: Supervisor of Food and Nutritional Services
Department: Food Services
Location: Newark-Wayne Community Hospital- Newark, New York
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: 11:30AM - 8:00PM
Weekend: Every other weekend rotation
SUMMARY
As a Supervisor of Food and Nutrition Services, your exceptional customer service and attention to detail and guidance ensures the quality, timely and accurate distribution of meals to Rochester Regional patients, while creating a positive and satisfying experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service. Visit patients and inquire about food service satisfaction, including quality and quantity of food; act as a department representative in opening and closing of the kitchen
Leadership. Train and develop employees and perform evaluations; supervise kitchen, dish room, cafeteria and food prep including trey assembly and room service; ensure predetermined schedules are maintained and all nourishment requirements are met with accuracy; order supplies as needed
Documentation. Log all food temperatures, following departmental HAACP procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two-year college degree (or) three-years relatable experience.
Effective (March 17, 2021): American National Standards Institute accredited Food Safety Certification required within 6 months. (i.e. ServSafe, NRFSP)
American National Standards Institute accredited Food Safety Certification obtained within 6 months of hire. (i.e. ServSafe, NRFSP)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two year college degree or 4 years equivalent work experience.
Serve Save Certification required within 3-6 months of hire required
Friendly, kind and patient focused
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent ability to guide and support team members

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

14513The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
