Job Information

The Staff Product Safety Certification Engineer is responsible for commercializing HyAxiom’s hydrogen-based product line through obtaining and maintaining product certification to safety/performance standards in target markets of North America, Europe, and Asia. Requires documentation/maintenance of certification records, bills of material and test reports for global products. Coordination of test plans with in-house and third-party resources to achieve/maintain certification, and interpretation/support for implementation of certification requirements for HyAxiom fuel cell and electrolyzer products. Support product development processes to ensure achievement of certifiable designs/design changes. Review/propose modifications to existing standards as well as new standards, to ensure HyAxiom’s product processes and capabilities are accurate, reliable, repeatable and certified.

Role & Responsibility

• Ability to successfully guide products through varied certification cycles/processes
• Diligent, timely and thorough development/maintenance of records for materials billing, data analysis, data collection, and technical reports
• Interface with the manufacturing organization to ensure compliance with product safety/certification requirements
• Ability to effectively/proactively work with others to improve product quality and resolve issues
• Participate as a team member in the certification phases of broad engineering projects
• Working comprehension of mechanical/electrical/chemical engineering, ignition/combustion, materials, piping/tubing, safety, and power electronics
• Knowledge/experience with ANSI/CSA Americas, ISO, IEC. Pressure Equipment Directive standards is highly desirable
• Ability to work under prescribed deadlines and handle multiple, detail-oriented priority tasks
• Extensive knowledge of CSA, CE, ANSI, UL, EMC, ATEX and Asian standards/requirements
