Global Payment Cards Professional

Cards is in the heart of the bank. In many of the ING countries we are working together with global partners like Mastercard and Visa to offer best in class services to our customers. As Global Cards Contract Professional you manage the global contracts to the best interest of ING and you support the countries in understanding and using these contracts.

The team

The Global Payment Cards Team is a new team. It is positioned in the NL Payments organisation in the Cards Area, but the team is working for all ING countries. The team members will report to the Product Area Lead Cards and work closely together with the Global Payment Coordinator, with the cards organisations in the countries and with the contract partners. We are looking for Global Payment Cards professionals in GJA scale 17, 18 or 19, depending on experience and seniority.

Roles and responsibilities

As Global Payment Cards Professional you:

• Understand the global cards contracts and the internal and external context of these contracts
• Track the contracts executing and report to senior management on it
• Optimize the contracts continuously and identify improvement points
• Monitor, forecast and analyse the financial flows coming from this contracts
• Create a long term roadmap and vision/strategy with schemes
• Build and support a community cross countries to share best practices and ensure full utilisation of the contracts
• Advise senior management and prepare strategic alignment meetings with the contract partners
• Manage risk & compliance of the contracts

You're an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of the cards products and processes. You are analytical strong and able to bring structure to complex business issues; you know how to achieve goals in a large complex organisation; you build and maintain relationships with many (senior) stakeholders; you act strategically.

Specific skills sought include:

• Ability to act autonomously, think and act out of the box and take accountability
• Ability to work with different countries and cultures
• Strong resilience; ability to navigate through ambiguity
• Ability to take responsibility and make impact based on facts and data; have the courage to question and make decisions
• Strong organisational sensitivity; deep understanding of the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of the organisation
• A strong and persuasive communicator
• Motivated to provide training and coaching on the job to colleagues
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders across the organisation – leading to high impact/urgency assignments for self and team
• Excellent in English
• Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree
