The role of the Production Training Mentor is to develop and provide the mentoring necessary to support the 145 training requirements of AAG.<br/><br/>
Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:<br/><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul>
<li>Mentor, support & coach trainees and apprentices </li>
<li>Ensure trainees and apprentices follow Aircraft Manual procedures and AAG procedures (MOE/EPM).</li>
<li>Create and maintain a Zonal roster for all trainees and apprentices.</li>
<li>Monitor implementation of the Zonal roster through the rotation of the trainees and apprentices</li>
<li>Work closely with the zonal leader to ensure the trainee/apprentices get exposure to the relevant tasks. </li>
<li>Carry out regular performance reviews against Knowledge, Skills and Attitude.</li>
<li>Monitor progress in completing all relevant training documentation e.g OJT, Experience and Assessment log books in a timely fashion.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.</li>
<li>Provide regular updates to the training manager on the progress of experience, OJT and assessment log books.</li>
<li>Mentor New Employees/Contractors on the standard procedures within production i.e. use of manuals, recording of work done, completion of paperwork, parts ordering etc when requested by training manager.</li>
<li>When preparing/delivering mentoring/training, ensure that all relevant technical information is current and in compliance with In house procedures and aircraft manuals.</li>
<li>Will be required to carry out Practical assessments/OJT and examinations. </li>
<li>Will provide the training administrator with training attendance sheets/documentation to support any training delivered.</li>
<li>Ensure all mentoring is delivered in an efficient, effective and to the necessary standard that provides maximum learning to the trainee. </li>
<li>Provide one to one training to the trainee/apprentice when necessary to assist in their development. </li>
<li>Continually look to improve the mentoring process through improved processes and self-development.</li>
<li>Work as directed by your manager to ensure smooth running of the mentoring role. </li>
<li>From time to time will provide mentoring to production staff on new and existing tasks/skills.</li>
</ul><br/><strong>Essential skills and qualifications</strong><ul>
<li>You have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the production environment.</li>
<li>Hold a recognised apprenticeship or traineeship in the trade of aircraft maintenance. </li>
<li>Have relevant experience in the area of aircraft maintenance.</li>
<li>Experienced in the training /coaching of maintenance personnel would be an advantage.</li>
<li>Hold a recognised train the trainer course or have an instructor qualification would be an advantage.</li>
<li>Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be a good team player with demonstrated excellent interpersonal and organisational skills .</li>
<li>The ability to develop and deliver engaging mentoring/training.</li>
<li>The ability to motivate and inspire a group through learning</li>
<li>Have the ability to work a flexible schedule when/if required.</li>
<li>Good computer skills.</li>
