Also in 2023, we were certified as a Great Place to Work©.</p><p>In Portugal, we partner with over 120 clients and a team of over 500 people, working in projects for industries as diverse as banking, insurance, transportation, aviation, energy, and telecom.</p><p>Headquarters of the Nearshore IT center, Alter Solutions Portugal has a dedicated team of around 30 specialized professionals, integrated into projects with several internationally renowned clients.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><ul><li>Software Development using Cobol language</li><li>Perform development work with efficient and quality deliverables</li><li>Understand the requirements document and convert them into Cobol programs</li><li>Work with Business Analyst and Technical Leads to deliver quality product</li><li>Involves in support activity during various testing phases of the project</li><li>Strictly adhere to client’s standards, processes, quality and security processes</li><li>Creating test documents and execute test cases</li><li>Provide support to clients when doing User Acceptance Testing</li><li>Aid junior team members in solving technical issues and provide knowledge transfer</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Minimum 6 to 8 years of IT Industry experience</li><li>Experience with Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, Eclipse, Unix Shell Scripts, CI/CD</li><li>Understand Jenkins and Git</li><li>More than 5 years experience in conducting program unit testing and system integration testing</li><li>More than 5 years experienced in system analysis and design</li><li>Fluent in English (spoken and written)</li><li>Worked on medium multi-regional transformation projects</li><li>Aid junior team members in solving technical issues and provide knowledge transfer</li></ul>
