Job Summary

Under the general direction of the LC Director, the incumbent serves as one of two professional staff dedicated to overseeing the effective implementation of the Supplemental Instruction program which supports students in low completion rate courses, and entering students identified as academically at risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the delivery of Supplemental Instruction classes and groups, evaluate and report on the program implemented; maintain currency on the learning needs of SI target populations; maintain currency with respect to best practices nationally in SI and other academic support programs that share the goals of CSULB's SI effort.
  • Collaborate with the broad range of university faculty, professional staff in affiliated units, and administrators in planning, implementing, and evaluating services to meet identified student learning needs.
  • Collaborate with other LC staff in planning and delivering functions which support SI program implementation and evaluation.

Duration of Appointment

This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

This appointment is for an 11/12 pay-plan position. The incumbent works 11 months per year and is paid over 12 months.

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

  • Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $5,078- $5,333 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
  • CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,078  - $7,235 per month.
