The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Amarillo District is now accepting applications for Engineering Support Interns beginning in 2026. This paid opportunity is ideal for students enrolled in engineering or related science programs who want to apply their skills in real-world settings — from construction and traffic operations to lab work and maintenance. Internships are available at the following locations:
Amarillo District Headquarters: Construction, Maintenance, Traffic, TP&D, and Lab
Area Engineer Offices: Dumas, Pampa, and Amarillo
Eligible applicants may begin working part-time during the school year, with internships expected to continue into the summer of 2026. Positions may also be evaluated for continuation on a year-round basis, offering a valuable pathway to grow your career with TxDOT.
