About the role

Western Midstream (WES) is seeking a DT Field Coordinator to join the Digital Technology (DT) organization, located in Carrizo Springs, TX.  The primary responsibility is to be internal SME and local Field Coordinator for DT and Control System infrastructure, while managing and coordinating DT activities in the field or remote environment, including Enterprise networks, Field & industrial networks, firewalls, and associated hardware.

 

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of eight (8) years' experience on electronic communications and network systems. This person will work from Western Midstream Carrizo Springs office in S. TX, and provide DT Support including general computer desktop support, installation/upgrade/inventory/problem resolution of computer hardware, software and will include end user assistance/training, DT equipment procurement and maintenance processes. Position must use the Service-Now Help Desk ticketing system and work with outsourced Help Desk personnel. On-call and some non-business hours support will be required on an as needed basis. Travel to other WES locations will be required as necessary.

 


Responsibilities:

  • On-site support & troubleshooting: Provide on-site IT and OT (Operational Technology) related technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network/infrastructure issues, including identification, triage, analysis, processing, and ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, & maintain computer systems, servers, network equipment, and other DT infrastructure at field locations.
  • Training & Documentation: Conduct training for end-users on the proper use of IT equipment & systems. Maintain accurate records of DT assets, configurations, & issues. Create documentation for troubleshooting procedures & user-guides.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with DT teams, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems in the field.
  • Security Compliance: Enforce and ensure compliance with IT & OT security policies and procedures to safeguard data and systems in the field.
  • Remote Support: Provide remote assistance to field staff when necessary, using various communication tools.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and track DT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
  • Upgrades and Enhancements: Coordinate and implement upgrades, patches, and enhancements to DT systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing updates and reports on DT activities in the field.
  • Emergency Response: Act as a point of contact for DT-related emergencies in the field, collaborating with relevant teams to address critical issues promptly.
  • Field Assessments: Conduct assessments of DT needs in field locations and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Vendor Management: Work with external vendors for procurement, support, and maintenance of DT equipment and services.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in one of the following: Computer Science, Information Management or Information Technology
  • Experience: Previous experience in IT support, coordination, or a related field is required.
  • Technical skills:
    • Hands-on experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Operating systems, Office software products
    • Installing and troubleshooting PC hardware, applications, printers, networks and computer peripherals
    • Good understanding of imaging, internet, networking, telecommunications, graphics, and database software
  • Coordination and Communication:
    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
    • Excellent people skills and customer service focus
    • Good written and verbal communications skills
    • Self-motivated team player who can work with little direct supervision
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
    • Ability to work overtime/weekends and be on call as required
    • Driver’s license and occasional travel to other WES locations will be required
    • Ability to lift a few ounces up to 50 pounds. Physical ability and flexibility to crawl under furniture to make computer connections

 

Relocation:
This position is not eligible relocation


Work Schedule:
Hybrid: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: In-office

Wednesday and Friday: Work from Home.

 

Monday through Thursday: 9 hours; and, Friday: 4 hours
