About the role
Job Location:201 S Craig Street, Suite 2EPittsburgh, PA 15213
(1) Design and develop novel software services that use machine learning toautomate the optimization and tuning of database systems running on public andprivate cloud platforms;
(2) Design and build critical systems including data and machine learning pipelines,service APIs, testing platforms, and infrastructure integration;
(3) Deploy, manage, and monitor distributed and serverless services that connect tocloud platforms to interact and administer databases; and
(4) Analyze data generated from machine learning services to develop and improvealgorithms related to the automated optimization and tuning of database systems.
Telecommuting is available for this position.

Employer requires a Master's degree in computer science, data science, or closely related field. In addition, the employer requires the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge of database systems gained through one (1) year of work experience or completion of one (1) graduate level course covering the topic (one course can cover more than one topic);
- Demonstrated knowledge of machine learning gained through one (1) year of work experience or completion of one (1) graduate level course covering the topic (one course can cover more than one topic);
- Demonstrated knowledge of distributed computing gained through one (1) year of work experience or completion of one (1) graduate level course covering the topic (one course can cover more than one topic);
- Demonstrated knowledge of software engineering gained through one (1) year of work experience or completion of one (1) graduate level course covering the topic (one course can cover more than one topic); and
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing gained through one (1) year of work experience or completion of one (1) graduate level course covering the topic (one course can cover more than one topic).
