Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Indianapolos, IN to support our highways / roadways team. Candidates throughout Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky are encouraged to apply!
This role will provide the opportunity to directly support transformational projects including the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project. This project is one of the largest highway infrastructure projects in the country and entails design and construction of existing bridge improvements and a new bridge crossing of the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Covington Kentucky, along with 8 miles of significant highway improvements. Design has begun and will extend over the coming years, providing a unique opportunity for multiple career-defining roles on the project. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Senior technical resource who may serve as technical advisor for team
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE – OH, KY, IN)
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering + 10 - 15 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience with design software including MicroStation and OpenRoads
- Familiar with MS Office software (Excel, Word, Project)
- Experience designing highway/roadway systems in the Midwest
- Previous design experience on transportation projects including Schematic Development and Preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E)
- Experience with Business Development/Client Relations
Additional Information
Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation in Indiana will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $80,757.00 - 149,399.00 annually.
