Ultraviolet Cyber is seeking a starting-level Cloud Security Engineer with a background in supporting IT. This exciting position deals with the latest technologies in cloud computing, security, Azure and AWS. It is intended to rapidly develop your IT skills on a path for cloud security. You will get hands-on experience supporting Azure, AWS, and security tools while providing IT support for a focused cyber security company.
The position is mostly remote and requires 1-2 trips to Tysons Corner office, and nearby shipping locations per week.

Responsibilities:
- Provides IT support for a user base of 400 employees
- Hands-on administration of cloud platforms
- Operational use of security tools such as Crowdstrike, Zscaler, Tenable Nessus
- Participation in IT projects
- Vulnerability assessments and patch management
- Microsoft M365 platform administration
- Microsoft Azure administration
- Microsoft Intune administration
- JAMF administration
- Windows, Mac OsX, Linux, administration and troubleshooting
- Skills:
- IT support skills
- General understanding of Windows, Mac, Linux, Networking
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences effectively
- Naturally accountable and responsible: Self-starter, self-motivated, focused, and self-sufficient
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel and MS Project
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in IT environment
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Knowledge of allocating, configuring, and monitoring Cloud-based resources, including virtual machines, storage, and networking components
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Prepared to pursue several IT certifications in cloud and security.
