Senior Engineer – Wireless Local Networks

<h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Design, deploy, and optimize wireless network solutions, including indoor/outdoor access points, controllers/cores, and network management/monitoring systems</li> <li>Conduct site surveys and assess RF interference to optimize wireless coverage and performance</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security issues</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing network infrastructure</li> <li>Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, processes, procedures, and standards </li> <li>Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to wireless networking</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Industry certifications such as CCNP Wireless, CWNP, or equivalent </li> <li>Expertise in wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi 6, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, mesh networking, and wireless bridges</li> <li>Private 5G expertise: Core, RAN, and Management/Monitoring Technologies</li> <li>Practical experience in Private 5G implementation and maintenance </li> <li>Proficiency in network protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, and VLANs</li> <li>Hands-on experience with wireless network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Meraki, Nokia, Ericsson, or Celona</li> <li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues</li> <li>Experience coordinating and working with teams of multiple disciplines globally</li> <li>Proven success of collaborating with non-IT stakeholders</li> <li>Practical experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation and support</li> <li>Ability to document precisely and at right level of detail</li> <li>Ability to define and follow processes</li> <li>Ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions and associated cost</li> <li>Understanding of financial impact of decisions</li> <li>Ability to clearly define problem statements and determine solutions</li> <li>Must have strong planning skills</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams</li> <li><strong>Required Years of Experience: </strong></li> <ul> <li>~ 5 years of designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise wireless networks </li> </ul> <li><strong>Required Education: </strong></li> <ul> <li>University or similar degree</li> </ul> </ul>
